Distraction is the best course of action!
Ask him what he is going to ask Santa to bring him this Christmas; what is he going to leave Santa and Rudolf to eat and drink; does he think Nanny would love a photo of him with Santa: I wonder if we will see Rudolf in the car park etc.
Please, please, please, do not comment about any terrible previous visits. The temptation to do so is immense, but you are effectively reminding your child that they are frightened by Santa!
And also, relax yourself. Because of the bond you have with your child, he will sense your mood and will be affected by your apprehension!
We are open earlier on the last few days before Christmas Eve.The grotto will close (for another year) around 3:00pm on 24th December. This will give Santa plenty of time to get back to the North Pole as he has a very busy night ahead of him. CLICK HERE to see the opening times
